Allyship Committee
The Diversity and Inclusion Liaison is a member of the ACHE Nebraska and Western Iowa Board and works to foster diversity and inclusion in Chapter membership and program events and has overall accountability for fulfilling the Chapter Diversity and Inclusion Statement. Supports the ACHE Code of Ethics and leads coordination of Diversity and Inclusion related activities and sponsorship opportunities in collaboration with the Programming and Sponsorship Committees. Establishes relationships and partnerships with other local organizations focused on diversity and inclusion. Monitors and reports chapter demographics on membership, engagement and advancement to drive measurable outcomes from the Chapter Diversity and Inclusion efforts
Communications Committee
Promotes and maintains communications among Chapter members through print and electronic mediums to ensure effective and timely communication among the Chapter members. Works with NHA Liaison to schedule newsletters for publication and distribution through the Chapter Website and continual enhancement and maintenance of the chapter website through content development as appropriate. Supports the chapter’s social media presence by building community and connectivity and enhancing outreach and branding. Gathers and provides content for the Chapter emails, website, social media, and newsletter from other Committees, Directors, etc. Develops and distributes flyers for event and coordinates committee representation at all chapter events for event write-ups, member spotlight interviews and photographs for the newsletter and social media posting.
Community Engagement Committee
Coordinates and schedules community service events in alignment with requirements for all ACHE Fellow candidates. Offer opportunities for members to support meaningful causes including supporting local soup kitchens/food pantries and collaborations with other organizations to rally around a worthy cause. Develops an annual calendar of community service events and collaborates with other organizations to establish mutually beneficial opportunities.
Fellowship Committee
Promotes Fellow Advancement to the membership and develops programs to support members in the Advancement and/or recertification process. Develops focused advancement programs and events to support the needs of the members of the Chapter to advance to Fellow or Recertify. Collaborates with the Director, Communications and the Director, Programming to develop and implement a plan to promote Advancement events. Works with Director, Communication to encourage all Chapter members, who are nearing eligibility, for the Board of Governors (BOG) Examination to prepare by taking the Review Course and to apply to sit for the exam as soon as possible after its completion. Manages BOG Study Group tools and resources.
Membership Committee
Develops member recruitment and retention activities, meeting annual membership goals, and evaluating member satisfaction. Increases awareness among students, early careerists and the military population. Promotes the organization with healthcare association events through vendor fairs. Promotes the Chapter and ACHE to area healthcare executives. Markets ACHE membership among Chapter members who are not active ACHE affiliates and throughout the Chapter geographic area of responsibility. Works with Director, Programming to develop programs to attract new members. Works with Director, Communications to promote Chapter membership and networking events in the Chapter Newsletter.
Mentorship Committee
Provides oversight of the planning, process improvement and execution of the mentorship program for chapter members. Assist with program management by actively increasing awareness of the program, recruiting participants and coordinating program events. Develops mentor and mentee applications. Recruits, reviews, interviews and matches mentors and mentees. Works with Director, Programming to create a calendar of events for the program including interviews, orientation, networking events and closing ceremony. Maintains program toolkit and works with Director, Communications to advertise programs at chapter events, chapter newsletter, website and social media, etc. Facilitates feedback from program participants through monthly touch base and end of year program survey.
Programming (Education) Committee
Provides oversight of planning, development and implementation of programs for the educational and professional development of the Chapter members. Assist with program management by actively participating in the planning and execution of chapter education events. Identifies key issues/topics to develop timely, relevant, and needed educational programs to support the leadership, management, and advancement of members of the Chapter. Gathers and submits required documents and information for ACHE approval for all F2F credit events. Research sites for events and presenter needs. Create a budget for Programming in conjunction with the Treasurer. Coordinates and assigns program tasks to committee members/volunteers to ensure that all preparation for upcoming program events is accomplished successfully. Coordinates the education needs survey of the Chapter and collaborates with the Director, Communications to create promotional pieces to publicize events and registration.
Sponsorship Committee
Builds relationships and raises funds from various companies and institutions to support the education programs, networking events, membership activities and for ACHE Congress scholarships. Leads efforts to solicit funds from sponsors. Develops sponsorship tiers, packages and benefits. Maintains on‐going relationship with sponsors and solicits chapter sponsors as well as individual sponsors for monthly events.
Student Engagement Committee
Provides personal, academic, and professional growth opportunities for future health care leaders through networking with alumni and pioneers in the field. Develops relationships with the Deans/Chairs for each college and university in the area that offers a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Services Management or other disciplines offering concentrations in Healthcare Administration/Management. Orients each new incoming class in these programs about ACHE and its benefits. Recruits Student Representative from local healthcare program to serve as liaisons between these healthcare programs and the chapter. Works with Director, Communications to facilitate the dissemination of important information to those Student Representatives who are unable to attend for dissemination to their student groups (e.g. Scholarship application procedures/ Educational Events). Helps integrate interested students into the chapter at the committee level so they will be able to join and fully participate once they are in their internships, fellowships, residencies or full time positions.
